Young people make up about 33% of the population of Ghana. Yet it is rare for their opinions to have an impact on the political processes that affect their lives. We want to change that together with our partner YOTA - Youth Opportunity & Transformation in Africa.
Through a long-term collaboration with YOTA, we have worked to ensure that more young people have an influence on politics and sustainable development in Ghana. Among other things, we have worked on this through projects that have strengthened youth organizations and their cooperation, ensured more peaceful election periods, and that the newly elected president prioritizes the areas of sustainable development that matter to the young generation in Ghana. In a brand new project, together with YOTA, we work to ensure that the election promises from the last presidential election in Ghana are also fulfilled.
